The Heartbeat of the Music

DRUMS & BODHRAN

Keeping the rhythm.

Dropping the beat.

I’ve been a gigging drummer for almost 20 years, playing styles across rock, pop, and Irish. Whether you’re looking for a hard-hitting 6-piece kit for your next rock project, a strong groove & backbeat for your pub band, or a traditional bodhran for your session - you’ve found the right place.

I play OCDP Custom & Tama Acoustic Drums, Roland TD Electric Drums, Christian Hedwitschak Bodhrans, Vater Drumsticks, Stevie Moises Bodhran Tippers, and both Zildjian & Sabian cymbals.

Proud to share many of my current and former drums & percussion projects below. Want to be here? Get in touch!

What the heck is a Bodhran?

The Bodhran (BO-rahn) is an Irish Frame Drum, a single, usually goat skin, drum head stretched across a wooden frame. It is played by adjusting the tension & dampening of that skin with one hand, while striking the head with a tipper (drumstick) with the other. The bodhran can be played double-ended (Kerry style) or single-ended (top-end), and in the right hands, provides a rhythmic pulse and energy to Irish tunes.

Transition

Transition was a Yonkers, NY-based rock band from 2012-2015, in which I played drums. Our 2015 EP, Living for a Dream, which I co-wrote and co-produced is one of my favorite pieces of music I’ve ever been a part of.

Where it all began.

Adding this drum cover here both because I hadn’t showcased the electronic drums yet, and because this is a throwback to where it all began - covering mid-2000s emo and pop rock songs in a basement.

I still do this… in case anyone’s asking. It’s not a phase, Mom!
